- Bitcoin Suisse introduces EURC with 0% custody fees, offering a stable euro-backed asset for trading on multiple blockchains.
- Circle’s EURC follows MiCAR compliance, enhancing its trust as a fully backed euro stablecoin with monthly transparency reports.
- With cold storage available for EURC at a 0.20% fee, Bitcoin Suisse boosts secure options for clients seeking portfolio diversification.
Bitcoin Suisse released a statement that EURC, the stablecoin backed by the euro and developed by Circle, is now available with no custody costs. There are no extra costs for users to keep the stablecoin in their Bitcoin Suisse accounts.
Notably, the EURC is fully backed by reserves held in regulated European institutions. It also benefits from regular monthly attestations, ensuring transparency and trust. Supported across blockchains like Ethereum, Solana, and Avalanche, EURC enhances trading flexibility for Bitcoin Suisse clients.
Expansion of Stablecoin Offerings
The inclusion of EURC follows Bitcoin Suisse’s decision to waive custody fees for USDC in July 2024. The move further strengthens its partnership with Circle, enabling clients to trade EURC as a standard pair across all crypto assets available on the platform. Additionally, cold storage of EURC in Bitcoin Suisse Vaults will incur a minimal fee of 0.20% per year.
Fast transactions, great liquidity, and little volatility are features of stablecoins like EURC. They are perfect for trading, portfolio diversification, and international payments because of their features. As a result, clients of Bitcoin Suisse are able to access a stable asset denominated in euros, which acts as a dependable hedge against market declines.
Moreover, Circle’s issuance of EURC aligns with European Union regulations. Circle’s French entity, holding an Electronic Money Institution license, complies with the Markets in Crypto Assets Regulation (MiCAR). This regulatory approval positions Circle as the first global stablecoin issuer to meet MiCAR obligations, enhancing the credibility of EURC.
Circle’s Innovative Wallet Solutions
Circle has also introduced “Modules,” a feature designed for developers to customize their wallets. Built on the ERC-6900 standard, these pre-built, audited smart contracts allow developers to enhance wallet functionality seamlessly.
Modules offer a standardized, interoperable solution across EVM chains, improving wallet security and flexibility. This development, co-authored by Circle, underscores their commitment to advancing blockchain technology.
