Cochran has frequently criticized Gensler, and in response to ETH being recognized as a non-security asset, he has underscored Gensler’s overreach and labeled him a ‘political weasel.’ Cochran hopes to see Gensler step down, citing SEC Commissioner Hester Pierce as the right figure for the position.
