Ripple, a blockchain payments firm, has unveiled a new feature for its Payments API called “Try It.” This new addition is designed to help developers by providing an interactive experience with the Ripple Payments API and other APIs. Moreover, it allows users to send simulated API requests and receive responses without needing to log in or provide authorization tokens.
How To Use ‘Try It’ On Ripple Payments API?
The “Try It” feature is accessible through the API documentation pages for Ripple Payments API, Smart Liquidation Service API, and Report Service API. This interactive tool lets users test how specific endpoints respond in real time. Additionally, it serves as a valuable resource for both developers and development teams evaluating the firm’s technology.
To use the “Try It” feature, follow these steps for the GET/fees operation:
- Visit the API reference page for the GET/fees operation via docs.ripple.com.
- Click on the “Try it” button on the right panel.
- Open the “Security” tab and provide any string value in the “Authorization” text field.
- Open the “Parameters” tab for editing query parameters.
- Click on “Send.”
The panel will update automatically to display the success note from the endpoint. This makes it easier for developers to understand how Ripple APIs structure their responses. Furthermore, it also demonstrates how pagination works and how request parameters affect the response.

Advantages Of The Latest Feature
Before this feature, developers had to wait for the contracting process to get API credentials. Now, the “Try It” feature removes this barrier, allowing for lightweight testing at any time. Hence, this can speed up integration timeframes and enable independent testing before going live.
The “Try It” feature offers multiple benefits. Development teams can evaluate the Ripple’s technology without needing to sign in or get API credentials. Moreover, developers new to the integration process can quickly learn how specific endpoints respond without leaving the documentation page. In addition, this setup ensures developers are well-prepared when they start integrating with Ripple Payments.
The new feature is already live and available for testing on the Ripple Payments API, Smart Liquidation Service API, and Report Service API reference documentation pages. Furthermore, firm’s product documentation team is also working to enable this feature on the Ripple Payments Direct API reference pages soon.
This initiative by Ripple aims to enhance the developer experience and streamline the integration process. By providing tools like “Try It,” the organization is making it easier for developers to work with their APIs, ultimately boosting innovation and efficiency in payment solutions.
